    What is X-Block?

    With its ingenious consensus mechanism, X-Block has created a public chain that lowers the participation threshold of Blockchain Technology, creating a network that allows all types of devices to join and contribute their computing resources. In order to realize the goal of Fog computing, the overhead of consensus must be reduced to a minimum, while maintaining speed and efficiency. This allows X-Block to have rapid allocation of resources across the network in a secure and tamper-proof way.

    The final evolution of our technology will usher in a new era of distributed computing. Currently, a large portion of all data processed on the internet is handled by cloud computing providers, and is therefore susceptible to all the negatives of centralized data services. X-Block will provide distributed computing to developers and businesses, with the benefits of complete transparency, geo-redundancy, and total privacy. X-Block is creating a supercomputer that is made of consumer hardware, for use by anyone.

    What problems will X-Block Solve?

    X-Block is committed to solving the following problems:
    1.The high participation cost of blockchain tech. The computing power required currently is only in the hands of professionals and enthusiasts. We aim to solve this by lowering the power required to participate to the point that any type of device can contribute.
    2.The knowledge required to use blockchain tech requires a good deal of specialization, even within the IT community. Our node software, as well as our development resources, will be easy enough to use that anyone can get involved.
    3.The narrow scope of applications for Blockchain technology. Our Fog Computing architecture creates a platform for all applications to be created. Instead of creating blockchain-specific programs, X-Block can be used to host applications for people inside the blockchain space and out.

    What are the features of X-Block?

    X-Block aims at creating a user-friendly, convenient and lightweight blockchain with the following features:
    1.Low participation threshold and compatibility with heterogeneous devices. Everything from IoT devices to powerful servers can contribute equally.
    2.Extremely lightweight byzantine agreement protocol to reduce overhead and save computation power for the important work of Fog Computing.
    3.Integration with other main chains to create diverse cross-chain applications.
    4.Developer-friendly API and easy-to-use client-facing applications.
    5.Low latency, high speed, and massive throughput to allow for quick and smooth operation.

    What is the X-Block Token? (IX) How does it work?

    X-Block has created its IX token to incentivize the utilization of idle computational resources. This creates an ecosystem connecting developers, “Miners” (see section on mining), and end users. The token is given in return for the owners of devices leasing out their resources and paid out equally for the amount of computational power, networking, and data storage given to the fog.

    The token can be purchased outright to be spent for hosting services and time on our computation platform in an identical way to traditional cloud computing services.

    Developers who wish to use our service can benefit by leasing their existing resources to the fog and spending the tokens they receive on the limitless power of the fog. This creates a “Break-even point,” where depending on the amount of resources they lease and the amount of resources they require, the distributed computing could be free for use by them.

    Can I mine X-Block IX Tokens?

    All of the X-Block tokens are pre-minted. Therefore, “Mining” has a very different meaning in the X-Block ecosystem. Because of the incredibly lightweight consensus mechanism, the blocks require very little computational power to be finalized, so there is no block reward. Instead, the IX token is given out equally to users who donate their machines to the fog, in return for the amount of computing resources they are able to provide.

    Can other developers create their own tokens with X-Block?

    Yes, developers can use our public chain to create their own public tokens. Developers will be able to make their own token generation event with X-Block’s application token once they have built and deployed the applications with X-Block.

    Do I have to participate in registration and KYC?

    Yes, for our token sale, registration and KYC is mandatory. For legal reasons, we need to verify the nationality of our customers.

    Who can participate in the token sale event?

    Due to regulatory reasons, unfortunately we cannot accept participants from People’s Republic of China, United States, New Zealand, Canada, and OFAC sanctioned states.

    When does the registration for token sale start/end?

    We are currently in our Presale round of token sale, and presale will be live until October 31st.

    What do I need to provide for KYC?

    We require the following information: Nationality, Name, Email, Phone number, Address, Passport Photo Page Scan or Government Issued Photo ID Scan (Front & Back) and a Selfie Photo for Verification. We may ask for additional information in certain cases.

    Road map – дорожная карта продукта

    Что такое road map или дорожная карта продукта? Для чего она нужна и как ее составлять?

    Давайте рассмотрим 2 самых распространенных случая:

    • Вы работаете с уже готовым продуктом. Он функционирует, приносит прибыль, процессы налажены.
    • Вы пришли на новый продукт, который только планируется к запуску.

    Для первого случая вам необходимо синхронизироваться с внутренними процессами. Понять, что происходит на данный момент, какие цели и задачи стоят, а также, какую роль во всем этом будете играть вы. В этой ситуации вам необходим некий план действий, которому придерживается команда и это как раз road map.

    Для второго случая ситуация несколько иная. Если вы определились с целями и приблизительно наметили курс, то все это необходимо где-то отразить. Стратегия с основными тактическими шагами тоже road map.

    Road map, что это

    Википедия говорит, что технологическая карта продукта и есть road map, но я бы немного расширил определение. Road map – это план действий, который описывает ключевые этапы развития продукта и средства их достижения.

    Миссия и стратегия входят в road map, а дальше уже раскладываются до уровня более мелких задач. Чтобы лучше понять, что такое дорожная карта продукта, предлагаю посмотреть, какие задачи она решает.

    Какие задачи решает

    • Отражает миссию и стратегию продукта
    • Является основным документом для реализации стратегии
    • Показывает основное направление действий для ключевых персон и команды
    • Синхронизирует всех участников процесса, нивелирует лишние обсуждения и недопонимания
    • Помогает отвечать на вопрос “Зачем мы это делаем?”

    Из чего состоит

    Используйте картинку ниже, чтобы понять из каких частей состоит road map.

    – Опишите миссию и цели продукта над которым работаете
    – Определите кто будет пользоваться road map
    • руководство
    • разработка
    • смежные структуры (маркетинг, продажи, финансы)
    • пользователи

    В зависимости от этого будет строиться внутреннее наполнение дорожной карты: цели, задачи и прочее. Дорожная карта для разработки не тоже самое, что дорожная карта для руководства. Цели и задачи будут совсем другими.

    – Определяем тип road map
    • по целям
    • по командам
    • по странам
    • по платформам

    На примере далее будет использован тип по целям. В моей практике он самый распространенный.

    Пример визуализации

    Дорожную карту для своего последнего продукта (новостного сайта) я сделал в google таблицах, выглядела она так.

    Слева направо: цели, детализация по задачам, периоды времени на реализацию (выделены цветами). Разбивка по месяцам. Красная вертикальная линия, это дата завершения работ, то есть к седьмому месяцу (июлю) планируется реализация всех поставленных целей.

    Это лишь визуальное отображение дорожной карты, в дополнение к ней должно идти описание миссии и стратегии продукта. Таким образом на руках у вас будет план, к которому всегда можно обратиться.

    Но важно помнить, что road map, это не жесткое руководство к действию. Вы можете корректировать свой курс, балансировать между задачами и перераспределять ресурсы внутри команды.

    Чем делать road map

    • Excel / Numbers / Google таблицы
    • PowerPoint / KeyNote
    • Специальные сервисы

    Принципиальной разницы нет, проще всего и быстрее, на мой взгляд, отобразить все в таблицах. Являясь фанатом облачных сервисов Google, я предпочитаю Таблицы. Их просто создавать и еще проще расшарить всем заинтересованным лицам.

    Ключевые особенности

    • Road map, это не бэклог. Если бэклог, это конкретные задачи, которые необходимо выполнить в установленные сроки/спринты, то дорожная карта, это скорее направление и более крупные шаги.
    • Основывайте свой road map на основных темах/эпиках (крупных задачах) и будьте более гибкими на уровне небольших фичей/задач.
    • Отслеживайте все изменения в стратегии и целях компании. Вносите их в дорожную карту.
    • Пересматривайте приоритеты в долгосрочной перспективе. Возможно, часть задач уже не так важна, как раньше.

    Не замыкайтесь

    Главное запомните, что road map, это не монолитная структура, а ваш помощник на пути к лучшему продукту. Дорожную карту вы можете создавать как под крупные, так и под небольшие задачи. Нет жесткой установки, что мы должны работать только с глобальными этапами. Но даже для небольших, вам потребуется ответить на вопрос: “А как это согласуется с нашей миссией и стратегией?”,- поэтому не забывайте связывать свой road map с основными направлениями продукта.

    Where to use Roadmap diagram in your business presentations?

    Roadmap diagram is probably one of the most widely used diagrams in business presentations. You can use the diagram to represent:

    • Your company history and milestones
    • Project plan with broad timelines
    • Path to a goal
    • Steps involved in reaching an objective etc.

    The uses for the diagram are limited only by your imagination. Let us learn to draw this useful diagram in a step by step way.

    Step 1: Draw the road

    Go to Auto shapes menu, choose ‘Trapezoid’ shape.

    Draw a trapezium that covers the entire width of the page and extends up to three -fourths of the page in length. Adjust the yellow handles at the top edge of the shape to simulate a 3D perspective for the road image. Remove the outline by right clicking on the shape, Format Shape> Line Color> No Line.

    Fill the shape with Black color so that you have a basic road shape.

    Step 2: Draw the divider line in the middle

    Use the ‘Trapezoid’ tool again to draw a trapezium along the centre of the road. Adjust the bottom width of the shape to simulate a 3D perspective for the divider line. Remove the outline and fill the shape with white.

    Using line tool, draw horizontal lines along the length of the white trapezium. Increase the gap between the lines and increase the thickness of the lines as you approach the bottom of the page. Change the line color to black to get the following result:

    Step 3: Write the relevant text

    Your road diagram is done. It is time to enter your text on the road. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind while writing the text on the road.

    • Keep the font color white, to make the text appear with sufficient contrast
    • Once you write the text, click on the text; go to Format ->Text effects -> 3D rotation -> Perspective relaxed. This will make the text appear as if it is written on the road.

    • Increase the size of the font as you approach the bottom of the page. Remember, things appear larger when they are closer to you and smaller when they are far away.

    This completes your roadmap diagram.

This creates a “Break-even point,” where depending on the amount of resources they lease and the amount of resources they require, the distributed computing could be free for use by them.

    Can I mine X-Block IX Tokens?

    All of the X-Block tokens are pre-minted. Therefore, “Mining” has a very different meaning in the X-Block ecosystem. Because of the incredibly lightweight consensus mechanism, the blocks require very little computational power to be finalized, so there is no block reward. Instead, the IX token is given out equally to users who donate their machines to the fog, in return for the amount of computing resources they are able to provide.

    Can other developers create their own tokens with X-Block?

    Yes, developers can use our public chain to create their own public tokens. Developers will be able to make their own token generation event with X-Block’s application token once they have built and deployed the applications with X-Block.

    Do I have to participate in registration and KYC?

    Yes, for our token sale, registration and KYC is mandatory. For legal reasons, we need to verify the nationality of our customers.

    Who can participate in the token sale event?

    Due to regulatory reasons, unfortunately we cannot accept participants from People’s Republic of China, United States, New Zealand, Canada, and OFAC sanctioned states.

    When does the registration for token sale start/end?

    We are currently in our Presale round of token sale, and presale will be live until October 31st.

    What do I need to provide for KYC?

    We require the following information: Nationality, Name, Email, Phone number, Address, Passport Photo Page Scan or Government Issued Photo ID Scan (Front & Back) and a Selfie Photo for Verification. We may ask for additional information in certain cases.
